To be considered for a scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria. Please note these requirements are based on the 2022-23 school year.
Cavalette Team Participation
Applicant must be a 12th-grade student and team member in good standing at Lake Travis High School, who has participated as a Cavalette dancer or team manager for the entire school year.
The applicant must be a team member in good standing at the time of the award at Cavalette Banquet. Refer to the current Cavalette Member Handbook for good standing requirements.
Academic Achievement
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average for the current senior year through the end of the current 9 weeks of 70% on a 100% scale.
Booster Club Membership
Applicant’s parent/guardian must be a current Lake Travis Cavalette Booster Club member and in good standing.
Requirements for Booster Club good standing:
- Family member(s) must meet all volunteer commitment requirements, and participation in fundraising activities.
- Family member(s) must meet all financial obligations by set due dates, which are determined by set committees, with no outstanding financial obligations to the Booster Club. These financial obligations include: Annual Dues, MyShareFair, Poinsettia Sale requirements, and Spring Show Ad requirements.
Note: Financial Assistance is available. If there are extenuating circumstances which prevent you from meeting these financial and or volunteer obligations, please reach out to Mrs. Payne for assistance.
Higher Education
Applicants must plan to enroll in an institution of higher learning within eight months of graduation from Lake Travis High School. Such institutions include not only colleges and universities, but also technical/vocational schools and institutes.
Recommendations
One recommendation from a LTHS teacher and one personal recommendation are required using the forms included in the application packet.
The personal reference must not be an immediate family member. Please allow sufficient time for the person to complete the recommendation and return to the student for inclusion in the application packet.
